Founded in 2007, Marnda Mia is an independent company owned by the Traditional Owners of the Pilbara. It provides a platform for Aboriginal people to develop regional standards with companies and improve government service delivery in areas such as education, employment, housing and health. The company aims to create opportunities for its owners, through the provision of services to communities and through a variety of enterprises. Marnda Mia is a signatory to the Roebourne and Ashburton Regional Partnership Agreement. The RPA is a commitment by local Indigenous organisations and people, mining companies and the Federal, State and Local Government to bring about measurable improvements in local indigenous employment outcomes and statistics. |
